WhatsApp session links your clinic's existing WhatsApp number to WeCare System by scanning a QR code, the same way you link WhatsApp Web. Appointment reminders then go out from your usual number, without Meta business verification or template approval.
How a WhatsApp session works
The clinic's phone links WeCare System as a device on its WhatsApp account. The system then sends reminders from that number, and they appear in the clinic's WhatsApp chats like any message sent from the phone. When a patient replies, the reply reaches the clinic as usual.
Sending at a steady pace
To protect the number, WeCare System sends session messages at a measured pace instead of all at once. That makes a session a good fit for moderate daily volumes. Clinics that send many reminders a day are better served by official WhatsApp.
Keeping the link active
The session stays linked as long as WhatsApp keeps the device logged in. If WhatsApp logs it out, the QR code is scanned again and reminders continue.
How to start with a WhatsApp session
- Open WhatsApp on the clinic phone and choose to link a device.
- Scan the QR code shown during setup to link the number to WeCare System.
- Reception books appointments in the calendar as usual.
- Before each visit, the reminder goes out automatically from the clinic's WhatsApp number.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need Meta business verification?
No. A WhatsApp session links the number the clinic already uses, with no Meta business verification.
Can I write my own message text?
Yes. Session messages do not need Meta template approval, so the text can be written freely.
What if the session disconnects?
Scan the QR code again to relink the number, and reminders continue once it is linked.
Can I move to official WhatsApp later?
Yes. The WhatsApp service is set per clinic, so a clinic can start with a session and move to official WhatsApp when its volume grows.
